remember thomas hobbes, the the guy that p mentioned an umpteenth number of times during gp lessons? remember how she kept using the phrase 'Hobbesian'? to describe an situation with unrestrained, selfins and uncivilised competition? haah. supposedly that's completely wrong usage, hobbes described such a situation in a Leviathan but criticised it later, and thomas himself was a peace loving timid person.
oh and an interesting fact: do you know that hobbes the tiger in calvin and hobbes is actually named after thomas hobbes? i did not know that!
