correction to my tag

i am not "close to making a to-eat list", i HAVE ALREADY made one! =P

the first reaction i get when i show off my list is, "wah u very free ah?" NOT TRUE LOR! this was done on the eve of the day when i had math homework due, 2 essays due, 1 jap quiz, and 1 chem prelim! i just had to do the list to destress. and i force myself to stop at 2 pages so tt i could continue studying for chem; i honestly could have gone on forever! there's infinite number of things to eat la!

look at the number of things that we have taken for granted... we just dun realise their existence until they disappear from our lives.

it has been a crazy week for me! i thought after tt crazy wed i would be fine. but no, fri i had to revise my essay again so as to read it out in class. but on thur night i had to help make the mounting boards for Cornell's World Fair which falls on fri too! i stayed up till 4.30 am for the board, then woke up at 7 to revise my essay, then went for class at 9.30 -__- but it was a lot of fun making a mounting board showcasing Singapore :)

i am rather proud of our boards hehe. (i helped with the board on the right!) and i think our Singapore booth is pretty! more close-up photos of the boards will be posted on my blog soon! i even stood behind the booth for an hour plus making kaya toast for people who visited our booth! :)

yes ithaca doesn't have any chinatown or chinese-ppl area, only sporadic chinese restaurants and groceries stores. absolutely no tau hway can be found here BUT now i know we can buy KAYA! yay! i shall stock kaya in my house for breakfast next semester! :)

i was actually really tired by night time, but once the event started and i started serving visitors the smile just came naturally and i somehow perked up! i love to see people actually bothering to bend down and read the small text on the board; i love to see the "doubtful" look on people as they asked "what's that? (kaya)" and then the approving look "it's nice! thanks!" after taking a bite. i feel proud to be sharing the singapore culture as a 'singaporean' with other non-singaporeans. helping to make the mounting board made me realise singapore does have a culture -- not very similar to the common notion of culture we have of countries like rome or greece or wadeva, but the culture is there! it's just tt it's so ingrained in us we don't realise it!

my god, i cant believe i have done ANY work since fri afternoon after classes. fri nite world fair, sat concussed till 11am then went for a 3hr ballroom dance workshop then a 1hr run then doing Experiences stuff.. now is sun afternoon, i have to go meet my classmates for the jap project then evening i am going for Grad Night! i ought to be shot la! why am i still blogging now?! lol.
