Can't remember what PW group number we were already. But anyway. I remember using a quote by McNamara in the report, don't think it was this one.

I was at a war museum this afternoon. I really got to appreciate what was meant when people termed the Vietnam war as the "first televised war". Loads and loads of pictures straight from the frontlines, in the days before authorised media releases. And in a way, the reporters and photographers were fighting a war of their own, putting themselves in the line of fire to get this thing called "the truth" on celluloid, to capture a moment they thought was important enough for the world to see and remember. That's something I never really got within that short time of study on this. Haha but I wasn't the one writing that part of the report anyway.
I didn't take many other photos, there was so much new info and a lot of pretty shocking pictures that it never crossed my mind to take photos of the rest of the stuff. It was those instances where I already knew something about the incident that I could have the presence of mind to take a picture. So along with the my lai exhibit, I got this, the, uh "alternate topic" that we had to fake up to show I dunno what in our pw file.

I probably won't get to visit the actual site of My Lai this time. It's pretty far north. Was wondering if you guys would be interested in a pw trip to Vietnam. Return airfare is 200+, probably to Hanoi, which is a lot nearer. I dunno. KIV maybe.
