Hence, on my 3rd day of school, i already forsee i am again going to be swamped by work this semester and before i retreat into the depths of the mountain of work and disappear from the blogging scene and suffer from depression again, i decide i shall put my ever-so-impossible-to-complete pChem homework on hold just to at least post a few photos, or else the next time you see these photos on class blog or my blog will be during my summer break haha
Ready? here goes my route:
London
i was physically there for less than 24hr before i jetted off.
london-->riga: budget air
Riga, Latvia
Sumptuous latvian traditional fare (two tabletops worth of food) - food is damn cheap in latvia!
Quaint buildings at Old Town - a bit of Russian influence
Riga-->tallinn: overnight coach
Tallinn, Estonia
Not an extremely pretty city actually... the christmas market oso nothing much...
But there's cheap private suana!
Amazing Medieval restaurant - food and music were great; menu, utensils and even toilets are medieval!
tallinn-->helsinki: overnight ferry
Helsinki, Finland
Absolutely boring city! nothing pretty to see... and everywhere was closed starting on 23dec WTH!! we only love their FRESH SALMON at the market: 6 people tearing up and devouring the salmon in the middle of the market - imagine that!!!
helsinki-->rovaniemi: overnight 13hr train
Rovaniemi/Santa Claus Village, Finland

6 oversized kids searching for Santa Claus at Santa Claus Village located at Arctic Circle on Christmas eve! Price: freezing our butts and hands and feet off in -10 deg celcius temp BRR!!
Riding on the reindeer sleigh!!! WHEEEE~~ :D
rovaniemi-->helsinki: overnight train again
helsinki-->stockholm: overnight cruise!
Stockholm, Sweden
Cheap thrill at Ikea - eating meatballs, fooling ard the exhibits, and shopping! (Ikea's Swedish CEO is one of the richest in world!)
Stockholm is an absolutely lovely city!
The Nobel Prize Museum!
stockholm-->copenhagen: 9hr coach
Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen is quite similar to stockholm i feel, except it looks older, smaller, more boring, and more expensive!!!
copenhagen-->london: budget air
London (again)
Just in time for the New Year's Eve countdown party's fireworks!
SHELL-LICKING GOOD Lobster noodle dinner!!
(after 2 days) london-->salzburg: budget air
Salzburg, Austria
Picturesque salzburg!
1800m above sea level, overlooking the whole salzburg city and the austrian Alps at a distance! NUMBER ONE breathtaking scenery in my entire trip!
salzburg-->vienna: train
Vienna, Austria
the splendid State Opera House! 2 euro standing ticket for Mozart's opera "Marriage of Figaro"
At a very pretty cafe at Hotel Sacher, having yummy-looking desserts. The famous chocolate cake, Sacher Torte, originated from here!
Parliament house! wow!
vienna-->london: budget air from bratislava (slovakia), so i got a stamp of bratislava on my passport ahaha
London (and again!)
no point posting fotos of london's sights since we have so many 'londoners' in 6a haha, so i shall only post fotos of class dinner and good food!

class dinner at a thai restaurant with great thai food, esp the green curry!!! joseph's gd recommendation!

no full class foto, but every 6a person at london turned up! yay~
flo brought me to a good korean restaurant :)

jiaying brought me to have english cream tea! yummy!

went for an absolutely yummy dim sum lunch with flo and jiaying!

dinner with my PUB friends at Four Seasons! Four thumbs up - 2 for the ROAST DUCK!!
And great salmon sashimi and jap food, Ben's cookie, bean curd with red bean (i love tau huay!!), cornish pastry, and belgian waffle - all jiaying's and flo's great recommendations! All within 7 days at London! (And also 2 tops, zara trenchcoat, gap jeans, high heeled boots from london sales alone!!!)
i know my title is eurotrip but i might as well continue blogging my US leg (since i can multitask while watching american idol on tv hahaha)
New York City
Back to nyc again... but there's always sth to see/do! for eg, watching musical (SPAMALOT!!! :D) and (re)visiting the less ulu part of Central Park free of flashers! Look lindy, central park IS pretty!
Boston
Boston is a pretty city, with modern and old buildings standing beside each other in the middle of downtown hehe. And it was sunny while we were there! (But can you tell from the photos it was less than -5 deg celcius??)
but there's nothing much to do at boston, so we end up eating and eating a lot of seafood - swordfish kebap, lobster, yummy New England clam chowder, and seafood 'platter'!
So there you go - my 5 weeks of winter break! satisfied with my reporting? or did i just jam up your computer with the crazy no of fotos? hur hur :P
Now you understand why i desperately need to slim down and save money..... :S
