More thoughts on that.

Ah!! Finally a change in topic. Hahaha. Very appreciative of your kind efforts Anuja et al. but shall we put aside the BGR thinggy for some serious theological discussion? :) Makes more sense leh!

Thanks Joseph by the way, for that honest and concerned sharing.

2 short add-ons I have, that might help stimulate the questioning minds (and this is for Christians too :) ) here:

1) http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1555132-1,00.html

A debate between Francis Collins and Richard Dawkins that was featured in Time magazine. Dawkins is probably the most outspoken and influential Atheist in the world today. I've read his "The God Delusion", and it is in true honesty, a terribly beautiful book that I would encourage Christians to read and seriously ponder on. Some of his views, however, are being challenged by Collins in this debate. Oh i just heard that another scientist, Alistor McGrath I think, has recently published a book to counter Dawkins' views - "The Dawkins' Delusion". Haha! A very interesting tit-for-tat taking place in the scientific community with regards to the issue of Faith and Science. Can't wait for that to hit the shelves.

2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS2TFVe9LDc

Richards Dawkins interviewing the Bishop of Oxford in this clip. A different form of Christianity is being brought up by Bishop Harries. Bishop Harries inclines towards Liberal/Progressive Christianity, one which I have learnt to appreciate as well, namely because of its more merciful and tolerant attitude towards homosexuals/members of other Religions etc. and its adoption of Reason in the pursuit of Faith.

I'm not trying to belittle Joseph's effort (and pls, give him credit because he IS sincere), but I am aware too that open-air proselytisation can often lead to an "err..how am i to respond?" impasse. So for those who are not yet ready, or seriously don't see the need, to make that "leap of faith", (and it's ok really..Why would a loving God force people to "have" faith?) relax, and let's just talk la! Comments? Views? :)
