Anyway I bring you Part 1 of the 6A outing saga for the month of May. Lindy, Linda, Shiyun, James, Joel, Zhixuan and I met up for dinner last Thursday night. Went to din tai fung at raffles city. Food was so-so but I guess it was a much needed break for Lindy fr her burger-fries diet. Lindy’s verbal arrows were fired at everyone, but most notably James haha. (I wonder why…)
Then Shiyun needed to leave early for her samba-rumba club practice session at SMU. And in a great act of spontaneity, being the supportive class we are, as well as a lack of ideas, we decided to accompany her to SMU and support the performance.
There were activities still going on at night even tho it was supposed to be holiday period. People practising dancing, training etc. We even spotted a guy catwalking/ prancing/walking like a snake. No idea wat was that for. By then, the practice had started and Shiyun just joined in the session without anyone missing a beat.
The group is mainly made up people playing drums and percussion-like instruments (haha Shiyun pls correct me if I’m wrong). The session was quite loud as it also took place in a partially enclosed area. As the actual performance only started 1 hr later, the rest of us decided to roam ard the area b4 coming back. And guess wat, since we’re in SMU, Lindy, our ever-enthusiastic boss decided tt we shd haf our own SMU advertisement. The fun just started. While filming, we actually bumped into WEI LING! She was doing some PT for dragon boat training and boy, was she surprised to see us in our act of endorsing the SMU marketing campaign. But she couldn’t stop to talk for long else it will break her momentum for training but nonetheless it was great to see an old friend. Then finally after many NGs, we finally got a decent shot of us in motion.
We needed a break after such intensive jumping and acting like idiots in the campus so we walked on to cathay to hunt for somewhere to chill. There zx met 2 diff grps of secondary sch and church frenz at the same place. Haha small world. We settled in Starbuck and were happily sipping our mochas when suddenly we spotted someone familiar.
What in the world?!?
We figured that he was prob on some secret military mission so we didn’t dare to greet him. We left the place hurriedly and made our way back to SMU. The performance capped off our outing and then we parted, each of us pondering the mysterious appearance of the guy in red…
Ok peepz stay tuned for Part 2 in the coming week when Sarah joins us.
