But anyway, I guess I should make a rant on my recent Internet connection stoppage haha :P I was out of Internet for the whole weekend due to a telephone line fault just outside our apartment, and it was the first time for more than a year that I was away from the wonder of the net for more than 24 hrs (excl those time on trips). Before I realised, I wasn't able to perform the following all important tasks throughout the whole weekend...
1) Watch my favorite anime of this current season, which how so unfortunately happens to come out every Saturday. I waited for an unbearable 10080 min for a new episode and now I have to wait for 2 more days before my dear telephone engineer comes and fix my problem. Looks like my prime joy for the weekend is clearly down the drain...
2) Skype with my parents and complain about the food quality in London, and also to amuse them with news on how some UKers are voicing out their strong opinions on the unethical behavior of Tesco in selling whole chicken at "unacceptably" low price, because apparently, it has a direct negative impact on the welfare of the poor chicken. :(
3) Renew my library books in advance. One good thing about our school is that if no one reserve our books, we can renew it for 50 times (or so I heard). So to make sure that no one can reserve my books on the last day of my 3-day loan, I always renew my books before they are due. I guess this is what we call kiasu?
4) Logon to Facebook to check if there's any changes / updates to the upcoming class outing, which is something that I look forward to definitely :)
5) Go to www.sainsburys.co.uk on Sunday morning to check if the £1.49/kg Sainsbury's Fresh Chicken Thighs & Drumsticks 1kg - Save 50% was £2.99 now £1.49 - Special Offer is still on. If it wasn't on, I wouldn't have gone to the supermarket on a Sunday morning since I "should" have some frozen chicken left in my freezer. (I stress "should"). I decided to take a gamble and just go and check it out since I had no internet access, ie no entertainment anyway. Luckily for me, it was still on.
6) Read HK newspaper, or Apple Daily to be exact (for those who have heard of it) to update myself on the latest
7) Watch news on tvb.com (a HK TV stn) for an update of serious news.
8) Do my Corp Finance homework, since we need to download some M$ Excel solutions file which "is quite large and may crash your computer", according to this direct quote from my homework. I guess it's a good excuse to slack.
9) Watch some of those Game Theory lectures that I missed in the first term. Looks like it's good-bye to my game theory course and exam.
10) Last but not least, surf http://www.sixa.blogspot.com/ of course!!!
In conclusion, I am just too dependent on Internet I guess.
and sorry for spamming with a pointless, and more importantly, pictureless blog post muhaha!
