I saw Francis Fukuyama!!!

"The End of History"!!! Any impressions, children??? yes? no??

He came to Cornell to give a talk on "American foreign policy after the Bush administration" today! So I went to the talk! It's like seeing a childhood idol liddat, you know, cuz we were learning about him and his works in jc and all... hahaha!

By the way, he's a Cornell graduate, in classics! And there were sooooo many people who came for his talk.

I was late because I had wines class, so I was like standing at the door with many other latecomers. :( wish I was on time and heard the whole thing.

Among the points which I heard, I have to admit it's quite incredible how P had also mentioned the same things about US and Iraq 4/5 yrs yrs ago, and till now these problems still remain as problems. Overall, I liked his demeanor and poise as he talks about US foreign policies, because it's obvious he is disappointed with the current administration and especially unhappy with the kind of things US has done to/at iraq, but he never made his comments sound rude and demeaning, and kept his speech objective.

The next one and a half week is going to be CRAZY for me! And after all these years at Cornell, I would have thought CHAIN of prelims is the worst thing that can ever happen to me. WRONG!
